Sadly, violence is something we see far too often. It can rear its ugly head in homes, schools, neighborhoods, and arenas of war and politics. Adults might think it is best to protect children from such a difficult topic. On the contrary, the only way to end violence is to confront it and teach healing solutions for its causes. When young people (and the adults who guide them) can recognize feelings of anger, resentment, despair, and frustration, they can choose more positive behaviors in response. They can take the path of nonviolence and find peace within.
